Bachelor of Arts (B. A. (Civil Services) Degree)
SEMESTER PATTERN (O6 SEMESTERS)
Our college is affiliated to Kavi kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek. We conduct single Program at our institute known as Bachlor of Arts in Civil Services(B.A.C.S.). The duration of this program is 36 months. This program is divided into six semesters. At every semester, six courses are prescribed in this program out of which 2 are electives.
4 compulsory courses are as follows:
- Sanskrit
- English
- General Studies-I
- General Studies-II
But, from session 2022-23 only one course i.e. General Studies-II of 1st semester is replaced by new course i.e. Introduction to Civil Services. This replacement is done only for 1st semester. Rest five semesters have same 4 compulsory subject which are mentioned above. Also, B.A.C.S. progrm have five optional courses are as follows :
- History
- Sociology
- Sanskrit Literature(SLT)
- Marathi Literature(MLT)
- Political Science
All registered students of our institution have freedom to choose two elective courses by their choice out of these five available elective courses. Only the condition while selecting elective courses is that, Students cannot take two literature subjects at same time.
The student who successfully completes the B.A. Degree Course can continue higher education that is a Post Graduate Degree course in any one of the subjects at U.G. level. A graduate is also eligible to appear for wide variety of competitive examinations such as exams in UPSC, MPSC, Banking, Railway, SSC(MTS,CHSL,CGL) and other services, Journalism, Law, Historical Research, Social Science Research etc.
The Course Outcome (CO)
A graduate in Arts and Civil Services has a three years stint with at least four compulsory and two optional subjects.
- He / she is proficient in understanding, analyzing advanced skills and knowledge in the subjects.
- He / she is competent in effective communication, social interaction and critical thinking.
- He / she is trained to follow specific value systems, ethics, morality and human values in life.
- He / she is also encouraged to recognize and understand the need for lifelong learning, adopting new technology for change and local, regional and national issues related to their respective subjects.
